If your relationship is valuable and the love runs deep, this should come naturally. Some of the factors that affect our self - confidence are beyond our control sometimes. However, it's still no excuse to stop you from building your self - confidence. Face your deficiencies and acknowledge them but don't let them master you. Self confidence is the foundation of great success and achievement. You might feel worthless to one person but priceless to another person; don't even forget your value and keep striving on creating yourself! 

BE RESILIENT

Be able to adapt to changing circumstances and this way, your self - confidence would not be affected by your performance and it's just so much better that way. Discover yourself, embrace new challenges and be realistic with yourself. Things might not always turn out the way we want it to but hey... 'When life throws you lemons, make lemonade'. Get out of your comfort zone and do things, it's a great way to enhance your self - confidence. STOP feeling sorry for yourself, just keep doing you and get better at doing you!!!

This is a test for true self - confidence. It's never easy to try something new that you have never done before. Most people never reach their peak in life because they are scared of taking up new challenges and failing. If you are not taking risks in life, you are stunting your growth as a person. Developing self - confidence can be a long winded process but once you have worked through the fear of failing, you will realise that the humiliation you received at the time is a small price for the new experiences and success that has come your way.

It's easy to spot people with self - confidence issues. The way an individual carries themselves basically tells a short story about them. Why are you walking with your head down? Stand up straight, keep your head up and make high contact. Stop slouching! When there is a positive vibe about you or you create a positive impression, people around you feel it and become empowered.

LISTEN TO MOTIVATIONAL SPEECHES 

Motivational speeches always help build self confidence. With YouTube, there are a lot of motivational speeches at your disposal. Make use of them and oh... We are die hard fans of Eric Thomas!! He speaks with so much enthusiasm and is such an inspiration. If need be, write down your goals and strengths and stick it somewhere you have access to all the time and read it when you feel you need a confidence boost.

Do one thing everyday that scares you!

GRATITUDE

Be grateful for what you have. When all you do is focus on what you want, you start creating reasons as to why you can't have it and then you begin to dwell on your weaknesses. Thank God for what he has done for you.  Think about your successes, talents, relationships etc and you will be amazed at how much motivation can creep in by just doing this hence straightening the road to your success.

SPEAK UP

We all suffer from this sometimes. The fear of thinking what we are going to say will end up being stupid. But the truth is people are generally more accepting than we think. Make an effort to speak when you are in doubt or you want to make a point. Not only will you become a good public speaker, people will recognise your confidence and it's such an important aspect of life. It shows you have the skills to succeed.

WORK OUT

Majority of us have a complex about our physical appearance but there are ways to enhance our strong points. Surely, you can't be all that bad. If you don't have your ideal body and it's making you insecure, work it out. It requires a lot of discipline but if it will make you feel better about yourself, then it's worth it. When you like who you are, you'll never be lonely.

Most of all, avoid negative people for they are the greatest destroyers of self - confidence and self esteem. Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you.

MENDING A BROKEN HEART

"To fall in love is pretty simple, but to fall out of love is simply awful"

Mending a broken heart is a difficult process. It's never that easy especially if your had the wrong end of the stick i.e. being the one who wanted the relationship to last. However, the wrongest thing you can do to yourself is to create a wall and stop loving.

Here a few tips to go beyond the pain and try to mend the broken heart.

View it realistically and stop beating around the bush 

It's difficult to face reality in an unpleasant situation but it's always better to go through it and not around it. There is NO short cut with this one. You have to feel the pain and grief before you can actually move on. If you keep going around the issues, somewhere somehow they always resurface. It much better to go through the pain because it will only making you strong in the long run.

Learn to be independent again

You need to allow yourself time to find closure within yourself. Don't be quick to dive into another relationship. Have time to yourself and stop trying desperately to win your lover back. It hardly works anyways.. So what's the point? It's your job to fill the empty the vacuum and remember... the only way to peace and happiness is detachment. The thought of thinking your partner is gone is painful because you will feel empty without them but with your little power, you will eventually conquer the 'depression'. Focus on things that make you happy and have some ME time.

Laugh and Cry

It's therapeutic and these 2 emotions heal to a certain extent. Let's not kid ourselves here yeah.. We always feel better after a good cry or even a good laugh. There are psychological reasons behind this to show it works. Don't be scared to let it all out. Release the stress.

Remove all the memories of that person from your everyday life

It's a temporary measure to forget how much they broke your heart. Removing is different from destroying. You don't have to do anything crude, just keep them far away from you.  So when you are in love with someone else the memories will be a record of what you went through to get to where you are today.

Stay Optimistic

 It's not as easy as it sounds, but when you are feeling down and being negative, remind yourself of the good things in life and how lucky you are to have good people around you. Smile always, watch films and hang out with your friends. It always helps.

Be Understanding and Forgiving

Don't be hell bent on whose fault it was and wasn't. It's just not necessary and it's time consuming. 'Focus on the issues NOT the actors'. For example, did he take advantage? If yes, make sure you look out for the signs in the next relationship so you don't make the same mistakes. Obviously at the point, you wish you could take back a lot but you can't. Focus on making it not happen in your next relationship and motivation will start creeping in for your next relationship. What caused the heartbreak? Make sure it doesn't repeat itself in the future.

Lean on your friends

Your friends should be there to help you through this tough time and inspire you to feel good and move on. Talk to a good friend about how you really feel about the heart break and confide in them. If you need to vent, the VENT to them. Chances are you will feel a lot better. Just make sure it's a trustworthy person that's not trying to create a mockery of your situation and the person has your best interest at heart.

Staying friends with your ex?

Doing this is not practical. You need to move on. There is a difference between being friends and being friendly. Maybe later on life, you can be friends when all feelings have diminished. Until then, please forget about being friendly with your ex.

Learn from your breakup

It's up to you what you want to make out of the situation. But it's in your best interest to make the outcome positive and learn from the mistakes made. Ask yourself important questions and see if they are areas in your life that need attention. Most of all, cater to yourself and fulfil your needs. 

It's not the end of the world.

LOVE AGAIN

Don't close up your heart. Love again and deeply too with the same intensity. At the end of the day, what's life without love? It is such a satisfying feeling and surely you can't be heart broken ALL the time. I don't think anyone has such bad luck. You will eventually find 'the one'.

CALM EVENING THAT TURNED INTO A TURNT UP NIGHT!!!

We decided to go a gig and take the last train back home at 11:19 to be precise. We left the gig and took the cab to the train station BUT we missed our train ... OH WELL.. sad times..!! We then decided we might as well go back into town and have some more fun since we have to get a cab back home!! Lets just make the night count *lol* which we did! Ended up at Roots for some yum African food and music!! Lovely experience!! At Roots, we met up with a couple of other people and we trooped into Madisson!! Champagne on decks.. We were shown TOO much love!! After Madisson we were hungry, so we all went to have fish and plantain.. It tasted so good and the music was just on point!! AFROBEAT CENTRAL!! Lol..

THE AMOUNT OF TIMES DOROBUCCI PLAYED LAST NIGHT WAS UNIMAGINABLE!!! Seems like it's the new jam!

SHOW LEADERSHIP - Take responsibility and be a good leader. If a situation needs attention, he should be able to handle it properly. Women admire men who can take control of situations. It is a very positive quality that every man should possess.

*Now as women we have a tendency to offer ourselves over to men who disrespect us and do not view us the same as we view them*

Men have a tendency to place women is certain boxes and from speaking to some of our 

male friends it seems for women the sad reality is that respect is earned and therefore we have

 a responsibility of carrying ourselves in a way that gives us respect. Apparently men they do 

not treat women with respect generally but will choose to offer or not offer a woman 

respect depending on how they view you and have packaged you. As young women we

 want to advise and help women to not sell themselves in a way that only warrants

 disrespect from men but demands a certain level of respect that reflects the woman's

 worth.

 of the relationship might be fine but issues arise from the women's side if the woman tries to

 As christians we must know where our help comes from and always be ready to acknowledge the God as the giver of all things good. We believe God cares for us and as our FATHER IN HEAVEN he is the one who protects us and allows us to even exist today. When God is the mighty one fighting your battle you can not fall because you have put your faith in the Lord who is everlasting and consistent. Don Jazzy acknowledges his blesser and this is probably what enables him to carry on being blessed as he does not boast in his own works but recognises his talents are from God and that the all mighty is the one who has opened doors for him to step into.

We love Don Jazzy for this line in the song...Now God as our strong tower and protector promises to never leave nor forsake us. If we search throughout the BIBLE we will see many examples of GOD scattering enemies who hinder his people. Those who dare to oppose the children of God need to be careful because you are messing with God's chosen children and that is dangerous territory. The LORD IS LOVING DO NOT GET US WRONG BUT HE LOVES HIS CHILDREN ASWELL AND FIGHTS FOR THE WEAK AS HE IS THEIR STRENGTH. God also has the power of bringing peace and calm into the lives of those who follow him so if there are people who do hinder your life stay strong for God will bring calm to the storm.
